Quorvin (“we”, “us”, “the app”) is an exam-practice app for students preparing for Edexcel and Cambridge (CAIE) science and mathematics exams. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what choices you have. Quorvin is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Pearson Edexcel or Cambridge Assessment.
We do not collect location data, contacts, or advertising identifiers.
Quorvin has a leaderboard that ranks students by the points they earn from quizzes and exams. If you appear on it, other signed-in students can see your name, your chosen avatar and, if you entered one, your school, next to your score.
Nothing else is shared. Your email address, your answers, your individual results and your year group are never shown to other students. Photographs are never used as profile pictures — avatars are simple coloured designs drawn on your own device, so no picture of you is uploaded or displayed anywhere.
You can leave the leaderboard at any time from your profile, and you never have to enter a school. If another student's name or school is inappropriate, you can hide that student from your leaderboard immediately, and you can report them to us for review.
The app asks for camera and photo-library access only so you can submit a picture of your handwritten working for marking. Access is requested at the moment you choose to add a photo, and images are used only to produce your marks and feedback. If you decline, every other part of the app still works — you can type your answers instead.
We use your information to create and secure your account, save your progress, and generate marks and written feedback on the answers you submit. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Quorvin is intended for students preparing for IGCSE, AS and A-Level exams, some of whom may be minors. We collect only what is needed to provide the service. If you are below the age of digital consent in your country, please use the app with the involvement of a parent or guardian. A parent or guardian may contact us at any time to review or delete their child's data.
You can delete your account and everything stored with it from inside the app, under Profile → Delete Account. This removes your profile, your results and your leaderboard entry. You can also request deletion by emailing the address below and we will action it within a reasonable period. We keep your information only for as long as your account exists.
Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored using the security provided by Google Firebase. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the “Last updated” date above.
